Halal Quality Policy

Halal Food & Quality (hereinafter, HFQ) has financial and management autonomy, which makes it not subject to conditions that may affect its independence, integrity and impartiality due to said ownership relationship.

HFQ, is a Muslim entity with a deep understanding of the proper supply of Halal products and services needed by Muslims. HFQ will take all appropriate measures to ensure that Islamic responsibilities are met in all activities relating to certification.

The Executive Director of HFQ and all its employees are committed to adhering to the basic principles of the Islamic Halal Rules. The maximum respect and adherence must be achieved.

The Executive Director of HFQ does not make any type of discrimination when selecting personnel. The selection criteria for hiring personnel strictly follow the selection, monitoring and evaluation criteria, according to our internal procedures.

Currently HFQ is accredited by the GCC Accreditation Center (GAC), HAK (Halal Accreditation Agency of Turkey), SASO (Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization) , SFDA (Saudi Food and Drug Authority) in accordance with the following standards: GSO 2055-2:2015 Halal Products- Part 2- General requirements for Halal certification bodies and SMIIC 2: Conformity Assessment – ​​Requirements for Bodies Providing Halal Certification.

On the other hand , HFQ is recognized by ESMA (Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology)/MoIAT , JAKIM (Malaysian Religious Affairs Agency) and GIMDES (Turkey Certification Agency) . It is in the process of being recognized by the MUIS (Singapore Islamic Religious Council) .

In this sense, HFQ ‘s senior management expresses its commitment to comply with the requirements of said applicable standards and in accordance with the GSO 993, GSO 2055-1, GSO 1694, GSO 58, GSO 21, GSO 9 and other GSO standards. , MS 1500, MS 2400-1, MS 2400-2, MS 2400-3 , LPPOM-MUI, SMIIC 1, SMIIC 24, SNI-99001, SNI-99002, MUIS-HC-S002, MUIS-HC-S001 plus other quality and food safety standards, both national and European, ISO 22000, IFS , on which HFQ’s Halal certification scheme is based, making every effort to improve and progress in quality as a Halal certifier.

HFQ does not carry out any other activity that may compromise its independence and impartiality and does everything necessary to ensure that it always acts independently and impartially.

HFQ has internal control procedures for possible risks, which allow impartiality management to be ensured, based on an analysis and a statement of commitments assumed by all staff.

At HFQ , neither its senior management nor its staff own, nor participate directly or indirectly in products or services that may be subject to conformity assessment and certification, and that, therefore, may conflict and pose a serious threat to the impartiality, independence and integrity of its activities.

The policies and procedures under which Halal Food & Quality operates, as well as its administration, are non-discriminatory. No different procedures are used to prevent or inhibit access to applicants, clients or any interested parties.

HFQ services are accessible to all applicants whose activities are within the scope of the certifier. Therefore, access to the certification process does not depend on the size of the client or membership in any association or group, nor does it depend on the number of certifications already issued. There will be no undue conditions, whether financial or otherwise.

HFQ may refuse to accept an application or maintain a client’s contract when there are well-founded or proven reasons, such as the client’s involvement in illegal activities, a history of repeated non-conformities, or similar client-related issues.

HFQ will limit its requirements, evaluation, review, decision and monitoring to those matters specifically related to the scope of certification.

HFQ’s senior management guarantees that employees undertake to keep strict confidentiality and secrecy in relation to confidential information, which is handled by virtue of the work they perform, while committing to ethical conduct during and after performance. of their functions. HFQ has implemented the Organic Law on Data Protection and the European Directive.

HFQ’s senior management reaffirms its commitment to quality and transparency at all stages of its activities and processes, non-discrimination between clients, independence of action, integrity and impartiality, confidentiality, quality and ethical behavior.

The senior management and in order to guarantee strict compliance with impartiality and integrity, declares that the signatory of the Halal certificates issued can be the General Director himself or the person assigned to replace him in case of his absence. In no case can the signatory be someone who has participated in the evaluation process of the company holding said Halal certificate, but it may have participated in the decision committee.

HF&Q’s senior management is committed to advancing in the development of a favorable framework for labor relations based on equal opportunities, non-discrimination and respect for diversity, promoting a safe and healthy environment and facilitating communication with its human team. . The development of a climate and a work environment in which the human rights and dignity of all people are respected, as well as a clear and determined attitude on the part of HF&Q in not tolerating workplace, sexual and gender-based harassment or religion.

The policy, organization and procedures necessary to achieve the required standards are described in our Quality Management System. The quality manager is responsible for monitoring the quality system and regularly reports to the Executive Director on the implementation, status, effectiveness of the system and any need for improvement.

The quality department is made up of a head and an assistant who have extensive training and technical experience to carry out said position. In case of need, the CEO himself can assume said responsibility.

To ensure that this quality policy is established, implemented and kept up-to-date at all levels of the organization, all personnel must know it, assume it and comply with it.
